Addressing Exhaust Gas Emission Issues After Acid Mist Treatment
Glance over:- Release date:Dec 26, 2024【Big In Small

Exhaust gas that emits smoke after passing through acid mist spray tower treatment is a common issue in various industries, including chemicals, electronics, metallurgy, electroplating, textile manufacturing, and machinery manufacturing. These processes generate complex exhaust gas due to the mixture of multiple acids.

Function of Spray Towers

Spray towers use alkaline neutralizing agents to manage acid waste gases. However, smoke may still emit post-treatment.

Common Causes of Smoke Emission

White or gray smoke can result from:

  • Undersized Spray Tower: Mismatched specifications may lead to inadequate treatment.
  • Incorrect Internal Design: Standard towers should have two spraying layers and one demisting layer for effectiveness.
  • Insufficient Packing Layer: Optimal design includes 500 high packing balls per layer for better gas-liquid contact.
  • Inadequate Nozzles: Too few nozzles may limit the spraying area, requiring proper matching of pump head and flow.

Solutions for Effective Treatment

To enhance purification:

  • Add Neutralizing Liquid: Introduce a neutralizing agent into the circulating water tank to improve effectiveness.

Pre-Installation Considerations

Before installation, consult with the manufacturer to customize specifications and dimensions of the ventilation duct and spray tower to ensure effective treatment and prevent smoke emissions.
